On March 23, 2023, we held a farewell party for the graduating members.
This year, two members, Erina Yamakawa and Eisaku Yoshikawa, graduated from the lab.
Unlike last year, we were able to hold a dinner gathering since the COVID-19 situation had stabilized.
Last year, a mug printed with a seal of Professor Tajima’s face was given as a farewell gift. This year, to celebrate their graduation, they received original T-shirts printed with the seal of Professor Tajima’s face. Additionally, personalized gifts were selected based on their hobbies and interests.
Last year, due to the impact of COVID-19, the farewell party was held on a smaller scale. However, with restrictions gradually easing this year, conferences like DEIM are now being held on-site, bringing us closer to pre-pandemic normalcy. In this context, celebrating Erina and Eisaku’s graduation was a great joy for everyone in the lab.
